Spring Improvements at Sportsman’s Lodge

We're Renovating - Spring 2019!

With spring fast approaching and bringing an end to wonderfully cold and snowy winter, it’s the time of year that we look forward to for a whole lot of reasons. Our days get longer and warmer as the sun shines down. We can start thinking of busting out the hoodies and windbreakers and putting the winter jacket away.

This is also the time where we put the sorrels in the closet and slip on the rubber boots as we trek around the property looking for any signs of winter damage. With a long winter just about behind us, there are bound to be some things around the lodge that the melting snow will reveal that will need tending to, from branches (or whole trees!) that need to be gathered and stacked for kindling, to pot holes in the drive that need filling.

Huge Upgrades to Hawk and Opossum Cottages!

We’re giving 2 of our cottages a total makeover this spring! Both the Hawk and Opossum cottages, which are our semi-detached / duplex style cottages, are each getting new flooring and washrooms, as well as all new windows, exterior siding and decks. This cottage is popular for groups of multiple families and friends, as it allows for separate living space, while still being right next door to your group. We are excited to upgrade the cottages and can’t wait to hear what our guests will have to say! We’ll be posting pictures of our progress and the finished masterpieces soon.

While the time between snowmobile and ATV seasons tends to be a bit quieter around the lodge for guest bookings, our staff and crew will be hard at work! We want to continue to offer all of our guests the best experience while staying with us.

Late spring and early summer is when we rev up for ATV season. It’s also a busy time for booking family reunions as well as corporate retreats. If a reunion or retreat is on your radar this year, give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you plan the perfect event for your group.
